Congratulations!
A special congratulations goes out to Anclote's Volleyball team. The squad finishes as the District 5A-8 runner up. The team will now enter the FHSAA State series competition. The next game for our Shark team will be on Tuesday, November 1st at Nature Coast High School at 7pm. Please join us for this exciting game! Way to go Lady Sharks!

ASVAB Nov. 17th!!!
The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is a FREE test given by the US Military to students who either have an interest in joining the Armed Forces or are searching for career options. You DON’T have to be interested in joining the military to take the ASVAB!
The next ASVAB for Anclote will be given on Thursday, Nov. 17, from 8AM to approximately 11AM in the gym. You MUST sign up in Student Services to take this test by Monday, Nov. 14! All students who sign up will be given a ticket the day before the test.

Mrs. Hansen - AHS Teacher Of The Year!!!
This year's teacher of the year is Mrs. Hansen. Ms. Hansen has been a teacher at Anclote for the past two years. She presently teaches in the 9th grade academy. It is a great honor to have Mrs. Hansen named Teacher of the Year for 2012.

Homecoming Weekend October 24 - 29
Homecoming week is fast approaching. We would like students to participate in this year's homecoming week. The dress up days are:
Monday, October 24th Movie Day (Dress as your favorite movie star)
Tuesday, October 25th Twin Day (Pick a friend and dress alike)
Wednesday, October 26th Wacky Day (Mismatch your clothes for the day)
Thursday, October 27th Time Traveler's Day (Pick a date and dress in a historical clothing of the time)
Friday, October 28th Spirit Day (Wear your school colors: Blue, Silver and White)
All dress up attire should meet the dress code requirements set forth by the Pasco County School Board.
Saturday, October 29th Homecoming Dance, 7 pm - 11 pm; tickets must be purchased in advanced, tickets will not be available at the door.
Students attending Homecoming must be in compliance with attendance and behavior expectations as stated in the Student Planner.
Dress Requirements for Homecoming:
Young Ladies: Dress or suit must cover your back and side, and be of modest length. Mid-section must be covered.
Young Men: A tie or jacket is required. Dress shoes should be worn. Bandanas are not acceptable and all pants must be secured at the waist.
Dance Rules: Hands should be in the air, feet on the ground. Bodies may not be bent more than 60% degrees when dancing. Grinding or sandwiching is not permitted. Students will be giving a warning, then asked to leave the dance if inappropriately dancing. Refunds will not be given.
