Important Test Information
The Florida Department of Education will be reviewing the concordant scores required for the ACT or SAT to meet the new FCAT 2.0 requirements. This information will not be available until the Fall of 2013. This information impacts 11th graders that have not passed the FCAT 2.0 with a 245. The requirements will likely increase from the past scores of 18 on the ACT or a 440 on the SAT based on the new FCAT 2.0 standards. This means 11th grade students will still need to pass the FCAT or meet the new requirements that are given in the Fall of 2013 in order to graduate. This information has been shared with the 11th grade students on the news show. As more information is received, it will be posted.

All-State Cross Country Champion
Anclote's senior, Spencer Guerette, placed 8th in the Cross Country State Championship. The top 10 finishers are considered All-State. He received an FHSAA medallion for his accomplishment. Spencer started off the race very patient and wise by hanging back from the leaders, but close enough to be a difference maker. By the first mile, he had run 4:50 and then was content with where he was until the final 300 meters. Going from the last turn onto the final 300 meter straight-away, Spencer was 10th and then hammered the final stretch, catching two others and claiming the 8th place spot. His time on the 5K course was his personal best out of all four years of running the 5K in high school. Congratulations Spencer for an outstanding achievement.
