This Week and Next 8/27 - 9/7

The faculty and staff of Anclote are excited about the 2012-2013 school year!  Our initial test scores indicate a slight increase in our points, this is with increase rigor of the tests students took for 2012.  We want to congratulate our 10th and 11th graders on their hard work on the state assessments.

Our administrators met with all students during the first week of school and reviewed the Code of Student Conduct.  This included topics on dress code, attendance, driving, electronics, appropriate behavior at school and athletic events and tardies.  The Student Code of Conduct is located in student planners.  Please review this information with your student.

Over the next two weeks, our 9th and 10th students will have Core K12 baseline testing for math and science and FAIR over the next two weeks.   These assessments allow us to measure students’ growth throughout the year and are required by the state.

Additionally, in the next few weeks we will be completed many mandatory drill requirements.  Please know that these drills are done to prepare our students and staff in case of crisis situations.  Our goal is to maintain a safe campus for our students.

Please check out our calendar below, we have many athletic events over the next few weeks and look forward to seeing crowds support our student athletes.

Anclote's school day begins at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 1:40 p.m.

What is the dress code for students?
Click on the newsletter tab to the right and go to the June 2012 newsletter.  The dress code is included for review.

When is Orientation day for students?
Orientation Day allow students to pick-up their schedules, pay fees, apply for parking and get their locker.   Fees are generally around $60 depending on the courses taken.   The school wide Orientation Day is scheduled for August 14th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

When is Open House?
Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, August 28th at 6:15 p.m.  The meeting will begin in the gym, followed by classroom visits.  This will allow for a brief introduction of the teacher and the course expectations for each class module.

What materials do I purchase for my student?
At Anclote High School we offer over 90 courses.  Each course requires different materials.  During the first week of school, your student’s teacher will review the course syllabus, expectations and let him or her know what materials will be needed for the class.  For the first day of school, students need paper, pen and a pencil.

How much is breakfast and lunch?
Since Anclote is a Title I school, students may get breakfast at no cost.  Breakfast is provided every morning in the cafeteria from 7:10 am to 7:30 am.  The cost for lunch ranges between $2.50 or $3.00 based on what meal is requested.  If a student qualifies for reduced lunch, the cost is $ .40.  A new application must be completed to qualify for a free or reduced lunch meal plan for 2013.  Families may access the required application at http://www.pasco.k12.fl.us/nutrition/free_reduced.

How does my student receive a bus pass?
Bus passes are pre-printed on the schedules, located in the upper right hand corner.  Personnel from the bus garage will be available on the school wide Orientation Day if there are any issues.

How do I register my student at Anclote?
