Kris Bayne presented his Senior Project on Zoo Keeping this week. He even brought his alligator friend, George, with him for Mrs. Williams to hold. 

Summer Volunteer Opportunities!

If you are looking for someplace to perform community service over the summer, there's a great opportunity at Metropolitan Ministries! There are hosting a Day Camp from the week of June 10 to the week of August 5. The camp runs weekdays from 8am-1pm. There will be four age groups - K/1, 2/3, 4/5 and Middle School. The best part of this is that you can choose to work just one day, select days, or the entire camp! All you have to do is give them a day's notice that you want to volunteer. There will be a volunteer training event on Saturday, May 18 at 9AM at the church (Metropolitan Ministries Outreach Center, 3214 U.S. Hwy 19, N. Holiday). Congratulations Cody Schuster!

Commercial Art 3 student, Cody Schuster, won 2nd place this year out of two hundred plus photos that were submitted to the 6th Annual Teen Art Contest. Cody's winning photo was taken during the Commercial Art photography and design field trip to the Ringling museums earlier this year. The photo was edited in Photoshop.

Dual Enrollment Deadline and Updates

If you are interested in taking Dual Enrollment classes this summer or next year and have not met with Mrs. Evangelista yet, please go to her office, Room 3-126, to get the necessary paperwork.  April 22^nd is the last day for new Dual Enrollment students to submit applications for the summer semester.  Registration for Dual Enrollment summer classes begins April 25^th.  Dual Enrollment paperwork for the fall 2013 semester has to be finalized by the end of the school year.  Please remember that you need a 3.0 cumulative, un-weighted, GPA and qualifying PERT, ACT, or SAT scores to take Dual Enrollment classes.
